Whether you're joining us in the month of December for daily prompted support or want these affirmations on hand for future journaling, I hope these phrases empower you just the same. Our affirmation stickers have been chosen specifically to help cultivate positive self-talk through daily affirmations: a proven technique for overcoming self-deprecation and initiating mindful changes in our personal lives. Based loosely on the poetry book Homebody by Rupi Kaur, our Homebody Challenge prompts are realistic statements that encourage you to accept your past, live in the present, and have hope for the future.
Repairing my relationship with myself has been a pivotal part in my resilience and mindset as an adult with chronic & mental illness. I hope this challenge will guide you into a practical approach to positive self-talk... where you're meeting yourself honestly, wherever you are along your self-love journey... not repeating fluffy surface-level cheers to yourself in the mirror, but choosing to tiptoe into an affirmation practice with words that are realistic for the everyday woman. This isn't a quick-fix solution, but I've seen the effects of my own commitment to self-love: it truly can change your outlook and overall quality of life.
